The issue lies with the following entities:
- Meta / WhatsApp
- Apple / iPhone
This issue occurs in WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business Apps. As a result, the same issue is observed in WhatsApp Phone Archiver.
Troubleshooting Steps
Some potential fixes are:
- Network Issues:A stable internet connection is crucial for
receiving OTPs. Ensure that your iOS device has
a reliable internet connection through cellular
data. - Do Not Disturb Mode:If your iOS device is in the “Do Not Disturb”
mode, it may suppress notifications, including
OTPs. Make sure that your device is not in this
mode when expecting an OTP. - iMessage Issues:If you are using iMessage for SMS, ensure that
iMessage is activated and working properly. If
you encounter issues, you may try temporarily
disabling iMessage to receive OTPs via standard
SMS. - iOS Settings:Check your iOS settings to ensure that messages
and notifications are allowed for the relevant
apps, including the one generating the OTP. - iOS Updates:Ensure that your iOS device is running the latest
version of the operating system. Updates may
include bug fixes and improvements that could
address any issues related to OTP delivery. - Blocked Contacts:Ensure that the sender’s number is not blocked on your iOS device.
