If you choose specific Verizon phone numbers having the same billing account for archiving, do the following:

  • Verizon suggests creating a separate account and moving all the mobile device number that need archiving to this account. You can connect with your Verizon representative to set up these separate accounts.
  • You can add the account as is, but you can block messaging on specific numbers you don’t want to archive. You can unblock these messages later through the Verizon Business Portal if necessary. Even if messaging is blocked, devices will still receive a daily-opt-in message from Verizon.
  • Add the account as usual and let only chosen users decide if they want their data archived. Verizon will keep sending a message every day until the user agrees to archive their data.
