Android Archiver — Tutorial

Android Archiver is a lightweight archiving application installed on an Android mobile device that captures SMS, MMS, and voice calls. Employees send or receive messages, and make calls from the native Android applications on their mobile device. The Android Archiver application works in the background to capture data without any user intervention. The application forwards the captured data to the organization’s secondary storage repository.

The minimum Android OS version required for SMS and MMS archiving is Jelly Bean 4.1x.

You can use the Android Archiver application when your organization:

  • Needs to record employees’ SMS, MMS, and voice calls.
  • Needs to capture mobile communication data outside the United States of America.
  • Has corporate devices and also allows employees to use their own mobile devices (BYOD).
  • Wants to manage, control, archive, and secure Android devices.

The Android Archiver application captures data over Wi-Fi only or Wi-Fi + Cellular data. The application can also archive call logs.
