In order to display and correctly route communication to contacts, TeleMessage uploads their contact information to classify them as either “regular” or “app user.” This contact information is not stored on the server after the query.

The only case where contact information is stored on the server is for the individual who is a TeleMessage user (for a company this means all employees who are also in the global contacts).

If TeleMessage is denied access to your contacts (not recommended), you will still be able to send and receive messages, but when you select recipients for your message, you will be forced to punch in their phone numbers, or if you are part of a company, choose them from the company address book which was created by your company Administrator and downloaded to your app.

If you deny TeleMessage access to your phone’s contacts, you’ll still be able to change TeleMessage settings to recognize the particulars of individual communications.
