Enterprise customers can onboard one or more of their Verizon Wireless Accounts for Verizon Archiving. All existing Verizon mobile numbers in the onboarded Verizon Wireless Archive Account(s) get automatically provisioned for message capture.

If customers wish to selectively onboard Verizon numbers and they have only one billing account, they can do one of the following:

  1. Verizon recommends that they create a sub-account and transfer all the numbers that need to be archived to this account. Customers can contact their Verizon representative for creating sub-accounts.
  2. Onboard the account as it is but, block messaging on the numbers that they do not want to archive. The messaging block on the numbers can be conveniently lifted on Verizon’s Business Portal at any time. The SMS/MMS block, however, does not prevent the devices from receiving a daily-opt-in message from Verizon.
  3. Onboard the account as it is and have only the selected users opt-in for archiving. Note: Verizon sends the opt-in message every day until the user opts-in to the service.

If customers wish to selectively onboard Verizon numbers and have multiple billing accounts (sub-accounts) with Verizon, Verizon recommends that they designate one (or more) of them as an archiving account and transfer all the numbers that need to be archived to this account. Customers can have more than one archiving accounts.

Customers can add new numbers for archiving at any time by transferring/adding them into the designated archiving account(s). The transfer of numbers can be easily managed on the Verizon Business Portal.
