What is ISO
That’s because it is… ISO stands for International Organization for Standardization. No, you’re not going crazy that does spell out IOS, however, that acronym in different languages would not be the same. Therefore, “ISO” is derived from the Greek word isos meaning ‘equal.’
The goal is to create equal standards worldwide to form global norms where it matters. For example, imagine if paper manufacturers simply produced paper in whichever sizes and dimensions they felt like? We would barely be able to print, photocopy or store any documents efficiently. So too, with systems which absorb, process and release sensitive information, we require a set standard which safeguards this data from cyber threats, criminals and most importantly from getting into the wrong hands.
Our ISO 27001 Certification
27001 formally refers to an Information Security Management Systems (ISMS). A system that ensures the security arrangements will be consistently tweaked to stay up to date with changes to the security threats, vulnerabilities, and business impacts. This includes a systematic approach to managing sensitive company information (in our case company and client) so that it remains secure is essential. Much like SOC 2 it involves people, processes, and IT systems by applying a risk management procedure.
