The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will:

Impose severe data protection and privacy requirements on all companies and institutions possessing data of individuals.
Institutions will require a very granular control over personal text messages and other personal mobile communication in their possession.

       ● Consent to collect data
       ● Breach Notifications

Whilst we urge you to review the documents, the key changes you should be aware of are as follows:

  • TeleMessage has all the necessary amendments to be in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
  • TeleMessage provides its Customers with the opportunity to “opt-out” of having their Personal Data used for certain purposes.
  • TeleMessage will collect all Client’s information in individual Customer files.
  • TeleMessage will only share Customer’s personal data with countries that have adequate data protection policies (GDPR Compliant).
  • TeleMessage provides that any affiliates or third parties (sub-processors) it engages on behalf of Customers will have to comply with the adequate data protection policies.
  • TeleMessage will notify Customers in advance regarding any changes to its third parties and affiliates (sub-processors).
  • If there is any data breach, TeleMessage will notify Customers after becoming aware of the breach of security and provide the necessary support and assistance to the Customer.
  • Upon expiration of the Customer Agreement or early termination of the Customer Agreement, TeleMessage shall, on request, promptly provide to Customers all personal data held by TeleMessage.
  • All Customers shall comply with applicable privacy laws concerning the processing of personal data in connection with the Agreement and the services.
  • TeleMessage has an ISO 27799 certification and we are an active member of the data privacy framework.

Please rest assured that these changes do not affect commercial or product aspects of your service with us. We are simply updating agreements to protect your, and your customers’ data privacy. TeleMessage honors the core GDPR requirements:
● Right to be forgotten
● Right to access or data portability
● Consent to collect data
● Breach notification

If you have previously signed an Enterprise Agreement or a negotiated Agreement with TeleMessage, then please ignore this notification. Your Account Manager will provide you with a Data Processing Agreement compatible with our joint agreement in the coming weeks.
