Vivo Introduces TeleMessage Application
11 March, 2004 - Vivo, the largest mobile operator in South America, displayed a new product offering last week at Telexpo 2004 in Sao Paulo, Brazil from TeleMessage called Vivo Multimensagem.

Vivo Multimensagem has two major product features. First, the service allows users to send, receive and forward emails to any communication device. Second, it allows them to receive important filtered email or calendar reminders directly to their mobile phone. The email to any device feature enables users to compose an email from their existing Outlook client and specify what communication device the message will be sent to. For example, an email can be sent to a landline phone, mobile phone (as text or voice) and a fax. Simply, click on the send button when you have chosen the device, and the system will notify you of the status of the email sent. The easy-to-use solution makes sure that the receiver of the email gets the message no matter what, even if they don't check their email or don't have email at all. The solution is ideal for people who need to stay connected at all times.

The email-forwarding feature allows the user to filter his email for only important messages and have them sent directly to their mobile phone as text messages. With the press of a single button the user can also listen to their email. The service converts the text emails into voice messages. "And that is not even the best part of the service, says Mark Carlin the Vice President of Business Development for TeleMessage, the technology partner for the service. "The service will also allow the user to speak into the phone to respond to the email. So you can get your important email as text messages on your mobile phone, listen to them as voice files and use your voice to respond to them."

Vivo Multimensagem can also integrate a company's' ability to send real-time messages to wired and wireless devices directly from their corporate database. Companies can communicate more effectively with customers, partners, suppliers and employees by delivering automated targeted messaging campaigns to any device. By automating complex communication processes, corporations will boost productivity, reduce operating costs and see an immediate return on investment.

Vivo displayed the product predominantly in the middle of its large booth for the 4-day show demonstrating the products ability to very easily send a single email to many different devices. The product was also part of several presentations given to the press and analysts. "We expect to launch the service in all 19 States sometime in Q2", says Roger Solé, the Director of Wireless Data at Vivo.
